Workshop Description:

This workshop, OG on the GO: Teaching Orton-Gillingham Virtually, provides a practical way to deliver effective, multisensory OG instruction online. This workshop emphasizes simplicity, structure, and interactivity.

Teachers are encouraged to use touchscreen devices—particularly iPads—to preserve the tactile, multisensory nature of OG lessons. Tools like the Zoom whiteboard and annotation features serve as the central instructional platform, allowing students to actively write, manipulate, and engage with content in real time.

The workshop walks through how to adapt each component of a traditional OG lesson for virtual delivery.

Overall, the workshop demonstrates that with thoughtful adaptation, OG instruction can retain its fidelity and impact in a virtual environment while remaining engaging and multisensory.

Trainees will receive a certificate of completion once the workshop is complete. This counts towards CEUs for the OGA.

Technology Requirements
Since this coursework is virtual, participants need to access Zoom with microphone and video access. You are encouraged to keep your video on during the workshop.

Code of Ethics
Tools and strategies can be reused, but this coursework is my intellectual property. It is not to be redelivered by anyone. The workshop is for the user who purchased it and it cannot be modified, distributed, or shared. Participants cannot share their username and password for others to access the course or materials.
